What I’ve Got: MOOCs

The very name MOOC (massive open online courses) implies the potential to go viral, and recently that’s been exactly the case. Some notable examples include Coursera, which gained 1.7 million users in a year, and edX, which enrolled 370,000 users in its first semester of courses. MOOCs open up the classroom to a huge population of users that may otherwise have access to the resources they offer, and are especially appealing because of the ease of sign-up.
