Nostalgia, and using nostalgia to sell products, is highly desirable. Last weekend, the senior class just had our champagne brunch, which gathers seniors together in the freshman dining hall to sit with their freshmen entryways– talk about nostalgia. I think that this event, and nostalgia itself, are so desirable because it allows people to reflect mostly positively on their experiences, and think about how they’ve grown. It’s the same basic idea as throwback thursday and transformation tuesday– it allows people to show their good memories and reflect.
