After spending the weekend in New York City with my family, I can definitely say that Brooklyn Bagel and Coffee Company is “desirable” — the line was out the door when we went at 10am on a Sunday morning, but the line moved quickly and it was clear that the shop was used to such high volume. The fact that my brother, who has lived in NY for less than a year, even knew about this tiny hole-in-the-wall bagel place within a city that has probably thousands of breakfast places, makes me believe that somehow it has made itself known. The breakfast was really good (great egg white bagel breakfast sandwich), but I think the fact that the place was absolutely packed added a little magic to the meal and made it seem “rare.”
