As Hillary Clinton announced that she will be running for president yesterday, she also revealed her new logo. After this reveal, much debate ensued. Many people said that this logo looked like WikiLeak’s or Iowa Hospital Association’s logo. But what’s great about Clinton’s logo is that it wasn’t immediately compared to corporate brand logos, as most presidential logos are.
It’s clean, simple, and geometric, using a sans serif font and hearkening to the design to design of the ’70s, like the New York City MTA signage, developed in 1970. It seems that a lot of her campaign is focused on retro design (look at her 404 error page)!
