WIG: Airbn-beautiful

Airbnb app: When it comes to designing for awe, I think the Airbnb app is the most beautiful – when I was a product manager at a social enterprise, this was the golden chalice. Every time I look through it I feel ready to pack my bags. Mapped to the Fogg behavior model, I see the ability component achieved through the low physical effort barrier, and social deviance appeal (nothing says deviance like running away from your 9-5 routine). It also has to do with motivation in that the large pictures give you a sense of pleasure because they trigger a feeling of social acceptance (there are many Instagram-worthy shots, suggesting that travel will keep you up with the Joneses).
